The Greeks had two words for time — chronos and kairos. Chronological time is quantitative. It is measurable, dominated by the tick of the clock, the appointment calendar, and the passing of years. Kairological time is qualitative. It captures the authentic dimensions of human experience, the ripeness of a moment, the flow of life, and the connections between the past, the present, and the future. 
 
At Kairos Educational Consulting, we want to help schools create a culture of learning in which every member of the school community sets their internal clock by kairological time.
